The Bankstone Team was out in force at EXPO 2008. The show moved to Birmingham’s NEC this year after outgrowing its former Stoneleigh Park venue. “All credit to the organisers,” commented Bankstone’s Dickon Tysoe. “The show was bigger and better than ever in its new home. The catering was a highlight for me,” he continued. “Anyone who can offer four varieties of sausage, three types of mash and three kinds of gravy scores highly in my book!” With 246 exhibitors and 6297 delegates representing 2795 different companies, the show saw another big increase on last year’s record figures. The Bankstone stand was as busy as ever, with dealers particularly keen to learn about the Bankstone Warranty product and new paint sealant treatment Protecote. Many went away clutching a Protecote bum bag, having taken the team up on its buy five get one (to take away today) free deal. As well as catching up with existing warranty dealers, the Bankstone team were able to sign up some more at the show. The show was also an opportunity to discuss the Bankstone bike replacement service with the dealers who already support us and are interested in supplying bikes to our customers. Alongside the Bankstone team were representatives of Protecote’s manufacturers to explain the advanced technology behind this unique paint sealant treatment ‚ along with the underwriters behind the Bankstone Warranty product. As things wound down on the last day, Bankstone team members took the chance to make a few minor purchases of their own. One went home with a quad bike in the back of his car!
